Game of Life

The Global Game Jam is a very special occasion to discover new technologies. For instance, I dicovered the Javascript programming language during the 2015 edition. It is also a chance to work efficiently on a tight schedule, and meet new people.

Cellular automatons are well known for their complex behavior, even though they work on very simple rules. Based on this system, The Game Of Life is a territory domination game. The complex behavior of those cells is challenging, as you can't re-think your strategy based on how your particle system behaves, given the number of cells involved. But they are several patterns which are easy to spawn in the middle of a raging battle, giving you a very special control on the outcome of your cell colony.
